Leon W. Lewis MD, FACOG

Dr. Lewis received his medical degree from New York Medical College, in 1993 and completed his residency in OB/GYN at Brookdale Medical Center in 1997.  He is a diplomat of The American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.  He open Leon W. Lewis MD. P.C., in 2004 and specializes in providing OB-GYN for the last 24 years.

Patricia Phillips-Elmore, CRNP

Patricia Phillips-Elmore, CRNP

A native of Dallas, Texas, Patricia Elmore, CRNP, has worked alongside Dr. Lewis in his busy medical practice since 2017. Patricia graduated from Texas Women's University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Because of her desire to serve her country, and her passion for providing health care to both women and children, she made the decision to join the U.S. Air Force. Patricia's first assignment was on a Labor and Delivery Unit at Eglin AFB, Florida. In addition to working as a staff nurse, she served as a teacher of skills training for both medical assistants and nurses. Off duty, she also taught much needed childbirth classes both on and off base. Before leaving Eglin AFB, Patricia assisted in caring for children of parents serving the community during Hurricane Elena.

After obtaining the required experience as a staff nurse, she was accepted and became certified as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner. Patricia incurred a significant separation from her family during the Gulf War in Saudi Arabia, backfilling a position at Whiteman AFB, Missouri. Overall, Patricia served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force, with additional assignments in Arizonia, Texas, Mississippi, and Japan. While in the Air Force, Patricia was exposed to diverse people and cultures, allowing her to learn about perspectives and traditions from around the world, developing and increasing her understanding and compassion for all her patients.

Patricia was promoted through the ranks from a 2nd Lieutenant to a Major and left the military, receiving a Commendation Medal for meritorious service. Upon entry into the civilian sector, she continued to work as a nurse practitioner. After a move to Huntsville, Alabama, she served as a mentor for both family and women's nurse practitioner students.

Patricia is married to Tim Elmore, with two grown children and six grandchildren with another on the way. Patricia is a member of Grace Community Church and enjoys fellowship within the church body as well as within a ladies bible study. Her other hobbies including reading, crocheting, quilting, walking, and biking, She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family.


Kristine Putman, CRNP

Kristine Putman, CRNP

Kristine Putman received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama, Huntsville. Following graduation, she has worked over 20 years as a Registered Nurse in home health care, mother and baby unit, and pediatric unit. While working as an RN, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in 2007, where she specialized in women’s health care. Kristine is passionate about providing holistic and compassionate care to women throughout the lifespan.


Erica Goering

Erica Goering

Erica brings over 6 years of women’s health experience to our practice. She joined the United States Army after graduating high school. After working in Human Resources for several years, she realized her passion for nursing and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Nursing from Calhoun Community College in 2012. Following several years working in Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department and ER Observation Units, in the hospital, she returned to The University of Alabama at Birmingham where she completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2015.

Erica graduated from the Adult-Gerontology/Primary Care-Women’s Health program at UAB with a Master’s degree in 2017. She has worked in the Obstetrical Emergency Department as a nurse practitioner in Huntsville since 2017. She strives to individualize care specific to each patient’s needs whether it be women’s preventative healthcare and contraceptive needs, to pregnancy, postpartum and gynecological care.

In her spare time Erica loves attending Seahawks games with her husband and 3 kids, going to the beach, and going to concerts with her husband.
